Vientiane’s growing population faces frequent water supply shortages due to insufficient treatment capacity and low network pressure. To address this, the Hungarian Water Lao Consortium is expanding the Dongbang Water Treatment Plant by 24,000 m³/day to ensure a reliable, high-quality drinking water supply.
